Akhilesh Yadav is the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh is the son of Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav. He is Lok Sabha member for Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh at the age of 38 is the youngest chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Early Life and Education:- He was born on 1 July 1973 in Saifai, Etawah, Uttar Pradesh.He is the son of Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav.
He is from the first wife of his father. His father married twice.

He was schooled at Dholpur Military School. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore affiliated to University of Mysore.He also has a Masters in environmental engineering from Sydney University. He was considered as shy student in college. He used to drive jeep in college days.

In 1999 he married with Dimple Yadav. It was a love marriage. Dimple was a college going student then. The couple has 3 kids.

Political Career:- He was first elected to the Lok Sabha from Kannauj in a by election in 2000. He retained his seat in the 2004 and 2009 general elections and now after being appointed as party’s UP president is spearheading the campaign to bring back Samajwadi Party to power in 2012 in UP assembly elections.
