But She was also no 1 ranked women squash player in under 19 category.She became the National Champion at the age of 11. She has the rare distinction of being the first Indian Squash player to be ranked No. 1 in the European and Asian Squash Ranking (under 15 category).

she is the top women squash player representing India along with Joshna Chinnapa. She played her first international tournament when she was in sixth grade and since then she has never looked back and has won German Open, French Open, Dutch Open, Australian Open, Scottish Open on the European Junior Squash Circuit.And now She is ranked 14th in world Rankings.

Early Life and Education:- Deepika was born on 21 September 1991 in Chennai, India.Her father Sanjeev Pallikal runs his own business ‘Reach Management Consultancy’, which has 10 branches across the world and her mother Susan Pallikal, was a cricketer in her her days. She now runs a travel agency called ‘Travel Masters India.’Her eledest sister Divya works for the company KPMG and is also studying for her CA. Her second sister Dia is doing her masters in graphic designing in Leeds, UK.They are Malayali Christians.She studied  Good Shepherd School, till the ninth standard.She then mooved to lady Andal School because they had a proper sports curriculum there.She is also studying in Ethiraj College, Chennai, Tamilnadu.

Career:-She played her first international tournament in London when she was in her sixth grade. Dipika trains at the ICL-TNSRA Academy at Chennai under Cyrus Poncha and Major (rtd) S. Maniam. Her coach is Sarah Fitz-Gerald. In November 2011, Dipika Pallikal became the first Indian to make to the last eight of the World Open Squash. Pallikal began 2011 at 29th spot and claimed her third WISPA title of the year in December in the Crocodile Challenge Cup in Hong Kong and that took her to number 17 in world rankings.
She clinched her first WISPA title of the year in September by winning the Orange County Open in Irvine, California and notched up her second in the United States with another WISPA tour event victory. The 20-year-old Chennai girl also became the first Indian to reach the quarterfinals of the World Squash Open while she also made it to the semifinals of Buler Challenge Cup in Hong Kong and in World Tour Des Pyramides Open in France. In January 2012,she became the first Indian ever to reach the summit clash of a Silver event when she reached the final of the Tournament of Champions squash meet in New York.She climbed to her career-best ranking of 14th in February 2012, surpassing the earlier best world ranking by an Indian – 27th by former national champion Misha Grewal in 1995.
