Rashmi was born in Nagaon, Assam, India on February 13th, 1986. She belongs to a Gujarati family. Her real name is Divya Desai. She has completed her schooling from Ulubari High School. She attended the Assam University to complete her graduation. Rashmi is a trained Bharatnatyam and Kathak dancer. This classical dance training helped her to get the right poise, grace, and expressions to act in serials and films.
Rashami has started her career at an early age and got her first break in Ravan on Zee TV. She has worked in few other serials including Pari Hoon Main. Rashmi has done reality shows like Comedy Circus ka Maha Sangram, Zara Nachke Dikha, Crime Patrol. Currently, she is seen in Color’s daily soap Dil Se Dil Tak. The show is based on the Bollywood movie Chori Chori Chupke Chupke. Rashami Desai is playing

Rashami Desai got married to Nandish Sandhu in Dholpur on 12 February 2012. They are blessed with a baby girl.
